Yes, I understand it's vitality.. smile.gif

Jeez, it's hard to find this res for a good price. I need to find a rather good condition used unit or something.

im very interested in the progress of your watercooled r4. i plan to do the same to mine. Probably with the 280 mod in the front.

have you thought about getting a tube shaped res? you could save one or two drive bays and place it next to the 280

I actually thought of that but I will have a Scythe Himuro screwed to the B holes and then putting a tube res over it.. Might be too much. :/

Tomorrow I'm getting the Himuro so I'll have a better assessment.

I came up with a new plan for the LC setup. I have no idea if it's going to work but I already saw someone fixing the res like this.

I would recomend you Hardware Labs Black ICE Radiator SR1 - 2x140mm or Magicool Copper Radiator 280D - 2x140mm for quite fans

I went with Black Ice GTS 280. I know you need high flow fans for it but that's ok. I'm gonna stick 2x Noiseblock PK3 on it and it should be pretty silent even in high rpm.

How is this coming along?, I'm doing a similar setup with a 240 in the front and top so I was curious how yours was going, I did a couple mods along the way and it should be done within the next few weeks then I'll post the whole build.

Check my project thread for updates: http://www.overclock.net/t/1305945/build-log-the-define-project/0_30

I'm waiting on my 2nd order from PPC to get the water cooling setup finally moving. 240 in the front looks kinda bad. It's really much better off with a 280 in there. You could possible add a 240 on the roof but on my build I'll probably stick to a single 280 in the front.

I´m doing 240 + 280, just got my 280 rad today. This is also my first custom loop, if you don´t count the ghetto modded antec kuhler I now got.
I´ve had a hard time to decide what res to get and what to do with my 2 hds, I tried to put the 2 hds in the 5.25 bay, but didn´t like wires sticking out:(
So, I will prolly get ONE bigger hd and go himuro at the bottom too and a single bay res.

Well anyways your buildlog inspired me to get more into details (and also since a bit similar to my visions), now I got mdpc-sleeving, screws, etc in the mail.. smile.gif

I´ll start a log when get my camera working....

Hehe. smile.gif

Feel free to post to my log. I actually bought an acrylic piece today, to have the define's floor covered with shiny black. smile.gif

I also sold my kuhler 620. smile.gif
