Expected OC without a divider?

Thread Starter
I'm putting together a new rig including: a Sunbeam NUUO 550w PSU, Opty 165, dfi lanparty nf4-d and crucial tech ballistix 2x1GB ddr500 (dual channel) and will be using an Arctic Cooler 64 Pro for a HSF

My overclocking knowledge isn't all that great having never done anything past changing the FSB/mult/timings/voltages on my current rig...

I have all the parts except my opty 165 which should be arriving by the week... I understand that I'll probably have to add a devider to reach 3.0ghz? What is a memory divider? Will this limit my rig's performance? What could I expect as an OC without adding a memory divider? General OC info concerning this rig would be appreciated

That will then be depandant on how high you can push the RAM.

and the chance that I can push it to 334x9 on that ram without a divider is how high? I'll probably need a divider if the mult on the opty 165 is locked at 9 right?
