Crossfire core 2 duo mobo's other than P5w dh?

I'm thinking of getting water cooling, and the P5w dh mobo limits FSB at around 400MHz, give or take. Is there a crossfire mobo with 2 x 8xPCI-e that is able to do at least 450MHz +?

I think the ABIT AW9D-MAX is 8x corssfire compatible, and SLI, but I dont know how well it OC's.

That ABIT board rocks! Should be able to hit 500MHz or so as far I know

I am sure you have looked this over and all, but just doublecheck that that mobo will work out with your configuration. I am not sure of the size of your waterblocks for your graphics cards, but I know that dual slot coolers of any sort on that mobo prohibit the PCIe and PCI slots from being populated. Its a stupid issue, but one to look over nonetheless.

I have never heard of anyone with CF water cooling getting that mobo, so I have no idea if your system will fit just fine, it probably will. But I would search for some pix before making that investment.

Also, might I ask, why the deviation from the P5W? I have heard great things about it since the C2D release. You have a really nice system, btw.

BTW -- RD600 may be hitting stores later this month, so maybe wait a little bit for that news. It will likely be the only CF + C2D chipset for the future, but supposedly it rocks the house. Just look that up as well. Best of luck!

I won't be water cooling my graphics cards
Just the CPU. I think I might pick up 2 zalman VF900's

The p5wdh is a good mobo, but it has a lot of little things that still need to be worked out. It doesnt allow much FSB past 400MHz, and you cant manually set ram timings if your FSB is set at more than 375.

The P5w DH is a nice overclocker, but I should have bought a chip that had a higher multi to prevent running into issues with having a high FSB. So I made a mistake in getting a C2D with a low multi. You might notice that very few people have this mobo with an e6300. People have it with the e6400, but I dont think many have it running past 3.2GHz (400x8). I should probably consider just buying a CPU in the future that has a higher multiplier and lower FSB, and keeping my board.

If I do go for a new board, I'll definitely check out that RD600.

On a heavily modded one it hit almost 500fsb, stock people are having problems with 425. It will clear up with new bios.
