120hz worth it if vsync locked?

Thread Starter
As the title says, Is the 120hz worth it if a game is 60fps vsync locked. Also I heard from a person on here that skyrim is hard to play above 60fps with out things messing up. So in that case you would have to vsync lock. So at this point whats the 120hz going to do for me if i have to play games at 60fps anyways to make them run properly.

I hope i asked that question the right way...

Thanks all in advance!

not sure factually, but almost any game that is 30fps locked...has a fix for it to be 60fps. Wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't the same for you.

Games that are locked at 60fps aren't that frequent.

I also have heard some 120hz monitors have a poor 60hz mode. So in that respect would that mean that the 120 hz would look bad compared to a 60hz at 60fps or lower?
