Another, What size power supply do I need thread =) - Page 10

People need to get over brands.

Corsair doesn't even make their own PSU's. They are made by three companies Flextronics, Seasonic, and Channel Well, PC Power and Cooling also doesn't make their own, Antec? Thermaltake? Coolermaster? OCZ, Silverstone? None of them make their own!

Take the Corsair TX750 and Thermaltake Toughpower 750, different brands, both made by Channel Well.

Stop spouting brand name, when you have no idea what you are talking about. Instead read a jonnyguru or hardwaresecrets review and make your decision based on that.

My PSU is made by Flextronics as is the 1200i

See, I saw your comment towards me before it was edited out, and let me simply say for my last post on this thread. I'm not an expert (I don't try to be either), I simply stated what PSU I'd personally buy given the situation and that my PSU would die long before I hit the 850w cap. Not sure it was complete nonsense but hey whatcha going to do. Are corsair doing good in sales and marketing, yes, that confirms a portion of what I said with them getting bigger. To the thread mod, thanks.

Thats what i did. I went through about 15 pages of reviews on that site till i decided on the rosewill. I'm not trying to say i question any of you people that are clearly more knowledgeable about this stuff. I just like to read the information for myself.

Been following along this thread for a minute.

I think you'll be making a wise choice on the capstone psu. I went big and got a ax1200 because I was running 4 GPU's at the time however now I just have a bunch of hdd's so im likely to not even be tapping 300w for what I do now, its a complete waste of power lol.

It's not about being right or wrong... it's not about the content of your initial posts either.... it's about an irritating, repeating pattern (which qualifies as spam in my opinion)... precisely, people who can't be bothered to read anything in this section of the forum (not a single stickie, guide, etc), keep posting the same nonsense over and over again "buy this because is brand X" (what ever that brand may be) with Nothing to back up their opinions and suggestions except "I have one" (as if that is ever an argument.. "I have chlamydia, works as is supposed to, get it! thumb.gif"). And that's insulting to those of us that actually contribute to this section (among the best of its kind on the interwebz), especially when posters like yourself start dissing posts and replies far above their knowledge level.. undermining the efforts of those willing and Able to help... derailing and trashing the discussion.

Yea if you chose off those reviews your golden. These guys take the PSU apart and test it out fully to see what it can do. They are more of an expert than anyone in these threads. (Unless one of them secretly posts here.)

Here is who makes Rosewill in case your curious.
