While on my quest to make a UV purple dye I found few informative and even less successful creations of a UV purple dye.

Here is what I have been able to accomplish with a mixture of Mayhems dyes

Dyes used were UV pink, UV clear/blue, and deep purple.

I am unable to give a breakdown of how many drops of each dye that I used but a ratio would look somewhat like this

UV pink : UV blue : deep purple
5:3:1

Also note that under regular lighting this dye looks like sin. I will have to post a picture as the best way to describe it would be a rusty brown.

This took flushing my loop a couple times to finally get right. I could get a great looking purple under regular light easily. The problems would arise when switching to UV they were all too blue.

Anyways, hopefully this helps someone on the fence about UV purple, it can be done!

EDIT: Seems that my purple has settled out and I am back to a UV pinkish brown mad.gif

This is the cause of the problem

UV purple might work in acrylic reservoirs or crystal links, but the UV pink just stains like crazy.
