Its the best solution, works every time ! Btw, trying to remove it with alcohol or other liquid only makes it worse. smile.gif

Done a cable management session...jeez, it can take quite some time, is it. smile.gif

Decided I won't route the 24-pin behind the tray. Bigger than the R3, the R4 is still not a big case (compare to Corsair 600t for example). I had so many different routes in my head but eventually figured I will not hide it behind the tray but route it straight to the front pillar, then upwards and left into the connector. Also figured where I'm going to drill holes to put the cable clamps to support it. I then figured where all other cables are going to be (pretty much). I still have another idea I might try for the CPU cable but we'll see. I took ideas from so many people around OCN so I have a huge variety of options. :-)

Also decided I'll be doing Bill Owen's mod to fit a 280 rad in the front. This way, I will enjoy proper water cooling and won't have to stick another rad in the rear.

After the mod it will look like this:

So the 280 will be the only radiator? I don't have any idea of the size of that case or what you're cooling is why I ask.

I want to cool both cpu and gpu so I asked in the water cooling forum and was told a 240 won't be sufficient. I'd need another radiator or a bigger single radiator. I figured the 280 should do the job then.

Sandy Bridge cpu? You'll probably be OK. I would want more but that's me.

Did you get your sleeving in yet? b-magic pics? smile.gif
I went ahead and ordered 30m of the b-magic, I hope it looks as great as the pics I've seen. Been trying to find some pics along side black and white, thinking black, white and b magic for mine. That yellow you posted looks sharp but I don't think it would work out in my build.

Guys, I need some advice regarding Koolance. They have a weird catalog... you can either get one of their single 5.25 bay res+pump combo unit or buy stuff separately.

I've seen some rigs with this res:

107932674-260x260-0-0_koolance+inc+rp+402x2+dual+5+25+reservoir+for+1+2+.jpg

I understand that it's now obsolete? I found few "revisions" of this product (1.1, 1.2).

When I look at their website now, there's only this res:

rp-452x2_p1-700x700.jpg

Looks less nice than the old one but I guess it's engineered better? :\

Edit: Did some more research and apparently old 402 utilized a DDC pump which I think looks better than the D5. Seems like the current 452 and it 's former revs were only working with the D5s. Is it worth trying to dig out an old 402?

I also saw Koolance's single bay version of this res:

rp-401x2_p1-700x700.jpg

There's a 30$ difference in pricing, so I can save some cash and maybe use my other bay for something else (like a fan controller).

The dual-bay obviously looks cooler but the main importance is whether that single bay can hold a single loop with both cpu and gpu (on a 280 rad) ?

I need to color tune this one since the grey is a solid grey not blueish grey. :\

There's a typo there, lol.

Right...like who needs instructions anyway?? biggrin.gif

What's the point of buying such Koolance res if it's gonna be hidden behind the door? Better just go with any cheap tube res and put in inside the case. Plus it's designed for two pumps which is a complete overkill in my opinion.

Looks really nice man!
I just did a build for my grandparents using the R4 and found it to be a great case, I wish I owned one haha
