[Build Log] The Define Project - Page 6

Yeah I've put a lot of time into sleeving too. Making up all my wiring and sleeving it as I go. I still have the two PCI-e connectors left to fab up and sleeve. I'm not very quick at sleeving, just slow and steady.

Came up with a new plan for the LC setup, I have no idea if it's going to work but I already saw someone fixing the res like this:

Btw, I pretty much decided to go with XSPC's Raystorm block for the cpu, I think it's pretty slick and performance should be great. I'm also on the hunt for EK's old 680 block design. Those two combined and I think I'm golden!

SSD Mounts:

Basically, the case comes ready with two stealth mounts for SSD but (and it's a big one) you have to install the SSD BEFORE you install the motherboard. That means it's a PITA to take it off when needed. So, I picked up a nice piece of 90-degree angled aluminum and made mounting brackets that will separate the attachment of the SSD from the case:

After second layer of matte black paint:

To perfect the mounts I decided to prep it for conical screws (up right you can see it more clearly).

Next pic will be with the mounting brackets installed in the case. smile.gif

Replaced picture (really hard to make good pictures with the iphone 4). I bought them from Moddiy. I was sure Nils from MDPC sells them but apparently not. smile.gif
