I like that combo but I'd have to upgrade my case if I were to go that route. I have a MicroATX (Fractal Core 1000) so that limits me some. I also need to figure out all of these chipsets for the 1155 socket. What is the minimum chipset I should go with for the i3 3220?

Since I'm not planning on doing any overclocking with the i3 3220 (is it even able to OC) and using a single GPU is it smart to spend the extra money on a Z77 chipset board instead of a H77?

same what i'm thinnking thumb.gif

the price drops are comming 7870 will be @ 240$

what does the mobo have to do with a psu? the only MAIN thing should be the 8 pin EPS, and if your psu lacks that OP, get a new one. probably too old/low powered.

I have a 700w psu with a 4+4pin power connector so no worries there. I like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116775 for my CPU and this motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157303 for upgrading. I'll reuse my 1333 ram and maybe upgrade that to 1600 later.
