Can anyone confirm if this seller is selling real IME3.0's, or are these just knock-offs?

here is the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Microsoft-Intellimouse-Explorer-IE3-0-Gaming-Mouse-Steelseries-8-Optional-Colors-/330791211650?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d04b15282

they're just normal 3.0's with a self done paintjob.

Wow those are sick, I'm ordering one right now. I always wanted an IME but I thought they went extinct?

IME 3.0's were EOL'd in April.
You can still find some resellers that carry them, Amazon has a number of resellers that have 3.0's. Alternatively you can go on ebay and find a large variety of 3.0's, it's how I acquired my Legend Edition 3.0's.

i got my legends edition a month ago.
Reported my findings here...

From what I have been reading up on them it seems that the modified ones with the rubberized paint job are the best? is this correct?

seriously mate,

don't buy anything in this ebay shop.
i bought two intelli 3.0 mods there, both didn't work as their should and LOOOOOOW qualitiy.
they look nice and good on the pictures, but the colourwork looks like a donkey has painted it....
and they were too stupid to assemble them correctly again.
first one scroll wheel stucked, was very hard to scroll.
second one both sidebuttons NOT working.
im not joking.
was really hard to get my money back without losing too much money on shipping back to this idiots wink.gif

Whats so good about these, we have boxes of them at work unused and unopened...

They look and feel like cheap plastic mice from my experience?

It's hard to explain what it is about the MS sensor but basically it feels like the smoothest, most prediction free, and most accurate sensor around. The only downside is that it malfunctions and hits negative acceleration when moved fast. That and only having 400DPI. I don't remember if I've ever used one on a 1080p screen or not, but I'm guessing 400 dpi is probably too slow for it. I use 800 with 6/11 cursor speed currently on other mice.
