how was this 3570k build

Thread Starter
hey i recently spent exactly 1300 dollars cad on my new computer parts. i bought 9 parts in total and here are the specs, i think it`s pretty good, i will pick the parts up tomorrow since i paid online.
-3570k
-gigabyte z77x-ud3h mobo
-xfx radeon 7970 DD 925mhz
-8gb corsair vengeance 1600mhz
-120gb kingston hyperx ssd
-asus dvd drive
-corsair 500r white case
-corsair hx750 psu
-corsair h60 cooler
grand total after taxes and everything : $1300

i originally had something else in mind where i go with a 7950 or a 660 ti ( they come with games ) + an h80 for a bout $1260 but then i changed my mind and thought the extra money for a better gpu has more benefits to a gamer like me, so guys did i do good on this build for 1300 after taxes, or should i have gotten different parts like an h80 or a 2500k

It's a great build although there are somethings I would've gotten.

I would've gotten a different SSD like the Samsung or Crucial SSD. Another one would probably be instead of a 7970 would be the 670.

Nonetheless, that build is solid! Great CPU and motherboard! When you get it set up, make sure you join the Ivy Bridge Owners' Club.

hmm...
i would of grabbed a gtx 670 and then get a 650w psu. money saved go towards a better board/cpu cooler/case

not a big fan of the 500r, but that is a preference thing. h60 will be fine for a i5, but i prefer air coolers.

the ssd is good, i used them before no issues.

board is decent should easily get 4.2-4.5 ghz OC.
