Sapphire 6950 Toxic Issues.....

Thread Starter
So I am currently at my wits end.

The issue I have been having is mainly with the drivers and Trixx (I assume) because every time I attempt to oc this bad boy it clocks up to 500core and 1375mem (note this is in desktop) but when I play games the clocks are normal but when I exit the games the clocks are supposed to go down to 100core and 150mem but because they don't my idle temps can go a high as 60c if I dont adjust the fan speed and when I do the thing becomes very loud. I am using cat 12.8 and trixx 4.3. I haven't noticed this problem with cat 12.6 but I don't want to go back to something that is more broken...

Does any one have a clue whats going on?

edit : this problem does not happen when I oc using afterburner but afterburner can not adjust the voltage and can't adjust the mem clocks high enough (only 50mhz)
