Any good non-expensive 120hz Monitors?

Thread Starter
I need advice yet again as my funds for a monitor is going down.

Looking for a good 120hz monitor without unnecessary features for a good price. Not sure what brand is good, nor what difference contrast ratios makes. For example 5M vs 100M.

Budget >$300

You already made a thread in which you asked the same questions, which were answered

The Samsung S23A700D is best around 300$ & Dynamic Contrast numbers are just marketing lies. Non VA panels usually have <1000:1 contrast.

The Asus 144hz VG278HE (matte) or Samsung S27A750/950D (glossy) are the only really good higher priced displays

Why is 5M better or worse than 100M though for example? What's the difference?

Edit: Reason why I remade thread was the monitor went up to $360 for some reason, I guess it was a TD error?

There isn't any, dynamic contrast ratios are lies. IPS & TN panels have contrast ratios measure <1000:1 & VA panels do 2000-3,500:1.

Biohazard said the EXACT same thing in your other thread, please read.

700D for 300$

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-S23A700D-23-Inch-LED-Lit-Monitor/dp/B006WAGLGO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1347747039&sr=8-1&keywords=samsung+s23a700d

To answer your question from the other thread, the BenQ XL2420T can be calibrated, but you need a 250$ i1 display pro or Spyder 4 Elite for calibration.

Ah okay, sorry I forgot he said that.

I tried to do a little research, I still don't understand how VA/TN panels differ other than VA being higher quality.

What do I look for?

All VA panels are 60hz, since you want a 120hz display there is no point in explaining things, but this article is helpful

Asus ve248h is the best choice under $200. That’s a great 120hz monitor for gaming. Images are very sharp and colors are wonderful. I haven’t noticed any Ghosting, nor have I seen any Dead Pixels.

Except that it's not 120hz? Just seems like you're trying to advertise your website.

You could try looking for an older Samsung 2233rz or Viewsonic VX2265/2268, they can be had for cheap and have little input lag although they do have some downsides (non-1080p, backlight bleed, poor colors, etc). Best bet is to try and find older 120hz screens, out of the current ones available they're all out of your price range except for the Acer GD235HZ and it has a ton of input lag.

Why would you recommend a monitor that is clearly not 120hz and then link to a terrible website where there are reviews that are pure lies saying it's a great 120hz monitor
