HUGE PROBLEM! My games are not playing!

Thread Starter
So, I had to take apart my pc and put it back together because I got a new case and cooling fan. People do it, and I do it, all the time. However, a day has passed, and I start a game and it either fails to load a world in MMO titles, or it says "This program has stopped working" on shooter titles. Things I have tried:

--- I reclocked my gpu and cpu to stock, didn't help at all.
--- I checked my temps, all within the normal operating range.
--- I rebooted the whole thing. (Three times)
--- I checked the system info and bios. It still recognizes both RAM sticks.

Can someone please help me? I am really having a tough time.

All this worked before the case/Fan change?

Things to check..

What did you do when you did the change and check to make sure what ever you did was correctly seated e.c.t

Reload all video drivers e.c.t

Make sure that the new case isnt interfering with the new parts by making sure its not shorting out stuff.

It worked the day I changed it all up. It worked perfectly, actually. I'll try the video drivers though.

Reseat the card as they said and make sure you are connecting the SATA cables in the same places as before, especially OS.

Let me try reseating the card. I have no idea where the sata cables were, but I know the OS is in the same 0 slot.

Okay, I just reseated the gpu. Still the same issue, but we may be close. The gpu was almost too hot to touch on the plastic shell. I'm wondering if that doesn't have something to do with it.

it's possible that it's unstable when switching to 3d clocks and thats why it's crashing. is the fan on the card working? i Mean i can touch the plastic on one of my 480's (which runs way hotter than your 6850)

do you have any other programs set to overclock the card?

Well, I am now posting from my android tablet... >frown.gif

The gpu fan started making a weird clicking/grinding noise, and I got tired of messing around and ordered the best gpu I could afford. It's a 7850 2gb: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129230
