What kind of outlet/breaker does Phase Change require?

I am considering Phase as an alternative to LN2 for heavy runs, plan on Cascade..What size breaker does it require? also..110v or 220v?

I give my cascade it's own 15 amp breaker, when having one built you should be able to get either 110 or 220V, 110V would be more common in NA.

For a cascade?
You'd be best off with each stage plugged into a separate breaker.
While the compressor may draw 6-7 amps each, they can pull 15-20a for a ms when they start up. And that can trip breakers when the second compressor comes on.

For mine a dedicated 15 gets it done, although 20 would be better in case anything else gets plugged in. I had to dig a bit to find an outlet that didn't share with other outlets that were being used.

I haven't used to kill-a-watt with it yet, will have to try that tonight...

Its the spike thats normally the issue, normally when the second kicks on and the first goes under load. It's amusing to watch on the kill-a-watt. ~2000W and such.
When I had time to work on 3 stagers, you'd really need three separate breakers. Ended up wiring up each table in my shop to its own breaker, and a few more for the 220's, the welder, etc.
Never can have enough clean power!

Nol is right but if you use a large expansion tank with a cap tube metering you can substantially reduce the start hit on the second stage.

I normally use over-sized tanks and one plug for a 10 to 15amp breaker and 110v.

That said you cant go wrong using a higher amp breaker especially if it starts tripping.
