List of available to me
It's a present to friend, up to 400 NiS
Asus maximus V gene, i5 3570k, gtx 240. No OC on gpu.

Zalman Z9 case. Cable length must be enough for cable management.
Currently thinking to get Thermaltake TR2 RX 450W Modular PSU Active PFC. Mostly because it is modular.

Thank you for your answers.

Will it be enough if he upgrades his GPU? I know, for 120%, he is not going to go high-end or SLI. I'd say if he does upgrade it will be x60 nvidia cards or less. Maybe one of my 470's when I'll upgrade.

With a 3570K that unit can take on anything up to a GTX 680 or HD 7950... though I'd suggest avoiding Fermi cards (the 470 draws considerably more power than a 680).

Best bang for buck at the moment has to be the 7950 thumb.gif

As for PSU - either Seasonic or Corsair 750w should be plenty.

Yes I would not personally trust Thermaltake with something as important as a PSU.
Seasonic S12II 520W seems like a great choice.
You could never go wrong with Seasonic PSU.
Just ordered for myself Seasonic S12II 620W after running the 450W from them for over 4 years without any issues biggrin.gif
Go with Seasonic! thumb.gif

Cool. It's not an upgrade in work. Just hypothetical and very doubtful, considered 470 because I got two of those and nobody will buy those from me when 700 series come out and I upgrade to those smile.gif
