Well, you didn't specify what features you would like to have. With this configuration, overclock, and future SLI any board like Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H and similar should be fine.

On one thread somebody mentioned that MPower doesn't have offset overclocking mode. Since none of the MSI boards that I know have that function, that may be true. Otherwise, it should be a great motherboard.

Boards also worth considering (prices from low to high).

what is offset overclocking?

I really do not know much about motherboards, I just know some don't work and this one has a burn in test that i like.

Basically there are 2 ways to overclock when it comes to voltage.

You can apply constant voltage aka fixed votlage, or offset mode which will increase the voltage as demand goes higher.
That's basically it.

For stability testing everybody uses Prime95, Intel burn test, or Aida64 these days...

As far as I know, but I might be mistaken.

If you want to be sure, answer that question in MSI Z77 owners thread.

Not really. I suggest to find out more about MPower since MSI boards are hit or miss. MPower so far seems nice, besides offset which isn't a big deal at least for me.

These boards are hard to compare especially since MPower is a new board. Both boards will overclock well although Gigabyte might have advantage over MSI with UEFI settings.

MSI:
-ps/2
-They pass 24 hour Prime95 test according to MSI
-Better Windows software
-Probably proper fan control (not sure on this one).
-Realtek Lan + WiFi
-VRM - ? Probably 8 phase analog

Gigabyte:
-Same audio codec ALC898, but with headphone amplifier
-Dual lan (Intel + Atheros) + Optional wifi version of the board.
-Gigabyte tests every single board that they manufacture, but not 24 hour prime95 testing.
-VRM - 6+2 phase digital IR3567.
-Limited fan control (2 out of 5 headers support speed adjustment on 3 pin fans, 2 other are PWM, and the last one is 100% all the time).

I would probably pick MPower if no major faults are found.
