I don't trust CoreTemp. I suggest to use: http://openhardwaremonitor.org/

You can have it running at boot up and show in taskbar. It has a history graph as well.

Just downloaded it and it's reporting the exact same values as CoreTemp. I like how this one shows me more information though! very nice.

EDIT: It was running for 2 hours and 15 minutes and as I clicked Font in Notepad, it gave me a BSOD with no error just a generic hardware error.

Look it up here:
http://www.overclock.net/t/940091/bsod-codes-when-ocing-must-have-info

If the codes indicate more necessary voltage, I'd back down to 4.4 rather than increase the voltage. 1.272v just for 4.5GHz on an IB is already a little suspect.

Hmm I got 0x7f (UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP) which isn't listed in that list.

I see, OK. Dropped down to 4.4GHz watching the temps for a bit then going to let it stress test over night and hopefully I will wake up with either a house in tact or a computer intact. Hopefully both biggrin.gif

Thanks for the help. I'll report back tomorrow!
