Newbie! GTX670 Overclock Questions!

Thread Starter
Hi guys,

I want to get down everything in this first OP so I am not wasting your time [did you turn the pc on etc] basic things..

After running a Heaven Benchmark on Extreme, this is the state of my overclock:

My 3dmark 11 Score

I have 3 questions initially:

1) These settings are with Vsync off in the global settings, Obviously having it on, may cause the drivers to crash under load. What are peoples suggestions regarding having vsync on /off?

2) Is this a good initial clock? The settings on GPUz are max settings, I am seeing a very comfortable temperature [air cooled].

3) I don't neccessarily want an extreme overclock, I am a student and want to save energy bills. Am I missing the point with these new 600series cards? Will it only take the energy required? My voltage is maxxed out on EVGA precision, shall I put it to default?

That's all I can think of at the moment, I may have forgotten something, but thank you in advance for taking the time to read this thread.

1) Leave v-sync off for stress testing.
2) Looks good so far, really good temps.
3) 1.175v is the max volts the card will use without a BIOS mod. Set it to 1.175v and OC as much as you can.
