Oh yah I'll be doing this to my trusty haf 912
Would they hold it on just fine? Sure Mrtoyotaco just used them on his mod though he drilled and tapped the holes first. If your case is made of aluminum im sure it would work fine even with cheap thumbscrews, if its made of steel.. well it may or may not work. If you try the tumbscrews and it just eats off the threads trying to tap the holes, just goto the hardware store and get some steel thumbscrews, should only run you like $1 for 6 of them, then they should go in fine.
In an extreme worst case if you cant get the screws to thread is just use velcro or something and at some future time tap the holes using a tap kit.
Or you can try something like this, the screws in the pic are the ones I used after tapping the holes, but I had originally got some threaded washers, I was going to drill holes, super glue in the washers and then just screw right into those.
