What tape would you recommend me using if not the 3M? I actually want to take it off at some point.

The 2 lb 3M will come off if you're reasonable about it. Still think you are better off seeking another route.

Looks good, I kinda want to try painting a design on the window using the rustoleum frosted glass. I think it would be awesome to do a blue LED build and make it look frozen somehow.

Optix makes a frosted version of their acrylic. You could a) do an entire panel with it and paint out what you don't want or b) do a clear acrylic panel painted and then add a layer of the frosted version right behind the window for a glossy frosted effect as well. Worth looking into. I think i picked up a small sheet for about 7 or 8 bucks at some point from Lowes.

Shaefurr's method works great. You want to have regular access to your case. When you put the window on you're going to notice dust and stuff a lot faster. You're showcasing your build. Having to go to extremes to open your case is not a good idea. You can try the magnets if you can find some that you think will work, but they are all trial and error. Any other method is going to require masking the edges of the window, too, so you're basically venturing into new territory no matter what. Also consider that any additional mounting options like tape, magnets, whatever, are going to add depth. It may make the case look unusual.

ok so I haven't done the mod yet, but I did find a perfect way to mount it. The notches that your side panel go into, is a perfect spot to thread in a thumb screw without having to drill the case.

think I might do this...



they did not have double sided black tape :-(

I also did not want to drill holes in my case. I think it looks pretty damn good for $16 though.

Ok i decided to do it right, and I drilled two holes in the case. I just need to get some black spray paint/finger nail polish and paint the screw heads black. But it looks awesome! + rep to the OP!
