Corsair H100 + Accelero Hybrid 7970 vs. Custom Loop

Thread Starter
Hey, I'm new to watercooling and I'd like some advice. I just purchased my gaming rig which includes an i5 3570k processor and a sapphire 3gb 7950. Originally, I was planning on just getting the Corsair H100 and being done with it. However, now that I've had my rig for a bit, I've decided that I'd like to watercool my gpu as well. My question is, which would be the better option: getting both a Corsair H100 and an Accelero Hybrid 7970, or just going with a custom water cooling loop? I could get the h100 and the Accelero for just under $300 together.

I like the fact that the Corsair/Accelero combo would require little to no maintenance, but I also think the custom loop might run cooler. Would this be the case?

Thanks for the help!

tl;dr - I'd like to get good watercooling results for cheap with as little maintenance as possible. Should I go with a Corsair H100 and an Accelero Hybrid 7970, or just go with a custom loop?

Its up to you. You could house both the CPU and GPU ~ 360 RAD.
I you are just going Water for temps alone dont bother. Just get H100 and Accelero Hybrid.

Edit: If you are serious look at this.

Select a kit. I recommend the Second one with the D5 Pump.
Add RS360 RAD.
Then you can chase the color of tube and fitting.
After you decide that look in the webside the the same fittings that are included in the kit and add 2 x more for the GPU.
Since you have a HD 7970 get.

or

Thats ~ $400 Total.
Yes it more expensive but also a lot better, better looking and better for the future where you would have to spend only $115 for a new GPU block.

Ok, so what is the advantage of these $250 kits over a kit like this, which I could then just add the gpu block and another radiator?

Better pump. Compression fittings. More choice.

Is it really worth the 80+ dollars extra expense? My budget for this is only around $300, including the ~$100 for the gpu block. Are there any more budget options I should be looking at?
Yes it will be worth it. There's nothing like going full water and you really do not want to skimp on the parts. You will getting the good stuff after you have already gotten the cheaper parts. Then you end up spending even MORE... Do it right the first time! tongue.gif

the compression fittings hell yes they are worth it for they don't need clamps, look nicer, and are pretty much guaranteed leak free.. less you f*** up something.
the pump yes cause water-cooling cpu and gpu witch needs higher powered pump to increase flow and being able to comtrol it speed help with noise and flow

Ok, thanks for the help! I'll probably go with that dazmode kit once I have the cash. Thanks everyone!
