7950 or 7970 waterblock

As I read the post on AMD 7950 watercolling there seems to be two different pc boards, one reference one not. The second looks more like a 7970 board. Which lies my problem I have a SAPPHIRE 100352OCSR Radeon HD 7950 3GB 384-bit card and a reference 7950 waterblock and it does not fit. Will the HEATKILLER® GPU-X³ 79X0 Ni-Bl block fit ? The reference 7950 has two caps and one resister in the way.

i am also interested if the watercool heatkiller gpu-x 79X0 will fit a hd 7950 that has a 7970 pcb. i am wanting to get a msi twin frozer hd 7950 that reportedly has a 7970 pcb, and i want to get the mentioned block for it. any help is greatly appreciated

not trying to hijack your thread lostboy, just figured that our situations are very relevant smile.gif

Yes it is a perfect fit. The card I used is a Sapphire 100352OCSR oc version 7950 ( discontinued it right after I bought it) and it idles at about 5 degrees above room temp.
