Is this so bad?

Thread Starter
Hi just started in the whole oc business and taken my first step into a faster world

I have increased the vcore to 1,46 and the fsb to 230 but kept the multiplier by 10. So far so good then i ran a 3D mark 06 and scored 5453 which isn´t so bad but the cpu testscore is "only" 1667 but is that so bad or is it normal. Compared to the other submitted results its no very good but my sm2 is 2342 and sm3 2272 which i can se is pretty ok. But it is anoying that my cpu result isn´t that good or is it?

I havnt changed anything regarding the ram (cl, multiplyer ect.)

Best regards

You're scores are within tolerances for your specs.

Note: Your voltage is okay, but you might want to try it on "Auto" to prolong it's lifespan...What is the load temp of your CPU?

SM2 and SM3 could be higher with an OC on the GPU.

CPU score is up to par for your CPU and clock speed.

The load temp is at around 50 and idle around 34 at 22 roomtemp. I use a Zalmann 9500 aircooler at 2500 rpm. I am just now eating my way through "The Ultimate oc guide" posted at this site

Temps are okay, but you might be able to lower it marginally with less voltage. Maybe see if you can remain stable with lower VCore.

I am able to maintain a stable OC on my x2 3800 @ 2550Mhz / 1.41V with load temps that vary in the mid 40's around 22C ambient.

u shoul fill out the pc specs in the CP instead of doing it manually.

So i have tried to just turn up the fsb to 245 but win xp hung up on me, then i went back to 240 but the same problem after 30 min. so i have turned i down to 235 and now it is running stabile i managed to run a 3D mark while running 240 with a score of 5576 and a cpu score of 1771 but as i said above the system wasnt stabile.

Do i have to change the cl on the ram or is it at bigger issue of getting a higher output? The ram is running at 4.4.4.12 but i don´t want to just do a lot of tweaking around without having someone to tell me roughly what to do
I know there is some kind of fomula to calculate the exact fsb, multiplier so that the ram is at the same workable speed but i don´t have it

Best regards
