just looking for advise

Thread Starter
Hey guys,

Im new to this forum and know little about laptops/pc's so any advise would be grately accepted.
I currently run a compaq presario v5000 and have just upgraded the ram to 1024mb and stuck a 120gb hdd in it for fun. Now i do notice a respectable up in speed although it clocks at 1.73mhz already, so it does the job for me but i was wandering is it possible to oc the video card, its an ati xpress 200m series?

Many thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the forum.
You could try ATI Tool and see where that gets you. I'm not sure about overclocking a laptop card because of the extra heat it would create and you are unable to add an aftermarket cooler.
Also , please fill in your System Specs by going to the User CP menu at the top of the screen.

No you cant OVERCLOCK a Laptop. Due to its small factor form nature Airflow is very limited as it is and leads to rather warm Components running at stock speeds. OVERCLOCKING it will just increase the Heat output eventually and perhaps killing your Laptop.
