How do I get the monitor to not automatically switch to 3D mode when I don't want it to?

You'd need to disable 3D Vision when you don't want it. Enable when you do. Those toggles are under the "nVIDIA Corporation" folder in your start menu.

I use Windows Media Center, and nVIDIA wants to run WMC in 3D, which is annoying.

If your only issue is when gaming, the infrared transmitter has a toggle button on the front to turn on/off 3D on-the-fly.

Hope that helps!

It will still switch to 3D mode which has different colours VS the 2D presets unless you disable 3D Vision in the Nvidia Control panel. If you don't want to use 3D, follow TMan 459's instructions
