Gainward Phantom 680 GTX 2GB - Good choice?

Thread Starter
I've just pulled the trigger on the Phantom 680 GTX. I wanted a steady overclock out of the box without any tinkering.

Would you say it was a good choice?

Swapped out my 570 SLI as i've been getting the issue of many games not supporting SLI, and wanted a faster single card.

(Also nice being able to use real AA too for some games, 1.2GB just didn't cut it at times. Even on a single screen)

If you can afford it, you can never really go wrong with a 680, or most of the recent nvidia "flagship" cards. Getting a single high performing GPU is always the slightly safer route than getting multiple GPUs to achieve the same or similar performance.

I've got 670 phantoms and i love them, really good cards... run cool, pretty quiet, overclock well and i like the look. Only bad thing is that its a 3 slot card, meaning when I added the 2nd one I had to loose my soundcard.
