DLNA and Anime

Thread Starter
I currently have BubbleUPnP and MX Video player for my Motorola Xoom and Galaxy SIII. I can easily play all of my TV/Movies/other vids off my network. However I can't get any MKV Anime to play off my network.
I know my device can play said file just fine with MX Video Player, if I copy it over. My issue is getting the MKV to play off my network.

Any suggestions?

Doesn't work.

Its not the playing part because MX Player plays anything, Its getting it to stream. MX Player is like MPC. Its amazing and I swear by it.

The Way BubbleUPnP works is it lets you select the file you want to play off your PC/Laptop/Server and then it asks you what player you want to use to play it. It does direct streaming no transcoding. Although it can transcode it you set it up that way. Which I may end up doing.

Tried changine from H/W to S/W decoding while playing the file?

Sometimes I get a black screen unless I do so, even while the file plays.

I can play it just fine, when its on my SDcard. i am trying to STREAM it. For some reason BubbleUPnP can't stream MKVs and I need a app that can.

I was also talking about streaming.

Or are you saying that BubbleUpNp doesn't even show the MKV files in its library?

it shows, it it just won't stream it. I can stream mp4 anime in the same folder. Its not a MIME error cause I enabled/disabled that option trying to figure it out.

I can stream the file to my laptop just fine as well.

Does it come up with text saying it literally wont Stream it or do you get a black screen?

Maybe try getting the latest version of mx? I auto downloaded one the other day with a new logo etc.

I have a GS3 and use your exact same setup.

I use Serviio (a pretty good, lightweight, fast, free DLNA server imo) on my media server, with the K-Lite mega pack installed, BubbleUpnp on my S3 and MX to play videos.

What server software are you using?

I have the latest version of both. It comes up with a no streaming url error message. Which I don't get since every other filetype streams. Plus I can stream it to my laptop.
