Any suitable upgrades for my Sennheiser PC161? - Page 2

Starting to read that the AD700s creak when you move your head around... can anyone confirm that? That drives me bonkers if it does. Seems like headphone/headsets around the 100-150 price range all do...

I don't know what you mean creek? I am wearing my ad700's right now. They are great but if you like listening to music with bass go for something with more bass. If you want something that gives you really good sound stage get the ad700's and a clip on mic like - http://www.modmic.com/ . A lot of people suggest the zalman mics but they suck in my experience. They pick up all of my mechanical keyboard chatter and rarely pick up the right cone for my voice. I clip it to my shirt, but you are speaking and the sound travels forward. The mic is trying to pick up sounds downward. I have better results keeping a broken turtle beach headset that has a working mic as my mic.

Headsets are worth the money if you are buying high quality ones. I remember going through turtle beaches for xbox and crappy logitechs every couple months. Bought my ad700s last year and they are still kickin

I actually prefer low, more defined bass. So I know AD700s should suite my needs.

I need some kind of a mute switch for a mic, but yeah, modmic is the best thing I've seen so far. Their next versions are supposed to have one.

By creaks, I mean the plastic makes noises every time you move your head
