So I got my first build out of the way so I wanted to start on a couple more. Here is the start of the first build:
Got a decent deal at Microcenter on a couple of these:

First thing I did was strip it down.

Here's the case bits painted. Came out pretty well.

Parts are starting to roll in

I hesitated at first to make this thing reverse ATX but I finally came up with a plan that I think will work and not require any serious welding. We'll see if it works.

Started putting the case back together after painting the MB tray. Mounted an old ATX MB in there so I could visually see any fit issues.

Test fit the radiators. Painted the grill work on the case feet silver as well.

Finished putting the case top and front back together.

Next step is remounting the drive cage. Then if all my parts come in I can start the assembly. I set some old parts in with the new rads to test fit. I think this is how I want to mount everything so that I have plenty of room for fans/shrouds. Going to have to rig something to hold the power supply in place.

I have to do something to address the clearance issues circled in the pic below.

Started taking my last build apart this weekend. Can't afford to run 3 water cooled builds on my budet..

Rads for my wife's system on the left. My new system on the right. All have been rinsed with vinegar, tap, distilled and are drying. Don't think I'll use the 120 but we'll see.

My Maximus V Gene. Nice board. Outstanding audio quality. Better than my SBLive.

Learned all about ghetto metal fabrication with a Dremmel and a cheap Harbor Freight sheet metal break this weekend. Here is the finished product for the power supply tray that will go onto the bottom of the system.

Here is my new sheet metal break. Gotta love Harbor Freight for cheap tools.

Had to cut a new hole for the power supply and do somthing about the edges.

Got the drop shelf mounted for the power supply.

Got the first radiator built and mounted with fans.

Got the second radiator built but I'm missing fans.

Cut/painted/attached a plate to close the power supply hole since I decided that I wanted the PS on the bottom.

It's starting to come together. I don't think it's half bad for my first serious modification.

More progress on the radiators. Also got the drive bay modded and remounted so the rad would clear up top.

Got the motherboard mounted. MB and Video card were salvaged from my last build. Added the tubing and it's time to leak test.

It passed the leak test so I started installing, replaced the water with EK blood red, and started to tidy up the cables.

I mounted the drives on a plate from another build.

Here is what it looks like all lit up. (must have been holding my iphone upside down)

Here is what the side of the case looks like.

Here are the painted parts.

Got it hooked up in it's new semi-permanent home (are any builds ever completely done?)

For all intents and purposes it's complete. Here it sits getting loaded with Windows8 while I browse overclock.net.
