The boards Heatsink already has barbs which you can't replace.

Well post em up! thumb.gif

There's a bunch of drivers Asrock doesn't have updated. I know the Realtek driver isn't updated. In fact I don't even think Realtek has the latest, I ran Advanced System Optimizer and it told me about a newer version than the one Realtek has on their site.

Although I was under the impression Asrock wouldn't post new updated drivers unless they were certain that there wasn't going to be compatibility issues (even though most people don't usually have issues).

I've got a nice solid 4.8 GHz OC using offset and enhanced halt state enabled. PCMark 7 runs fine, Prime 95 runs fine.......... but every once in a while when I boot the computer is gets stuck on the 'Starting Windows' screen. Is this because of my OC possibly not really being stable? If I reboot the comp when it locks up the next boot works fine.

Yeah your OC is unstable, could also be your ram. How long did you test Prime95? Try adding .05V till it stops freezing.

I'd suggest using OCCT: Linkpack on max for stress testing. From my experience, it finds instability/problems much quicker.

hello peeps

i received my oc formula and 3570k yesterday wink.gif

i was trying to run it with a brand new pair of corsair xms3 2000 2x4GB kit but system was unstable, got random freeze and lots of memtest errors when ram set to 2000mhz in bios ( memtest recognize 2666mhz when set to 2000mhz from bios thats why so many errors )

when set below 2000mhz is working flawlessly like 1866 - 1800 - 1600 and no memtest errors

tried bios 1.4 - 1.6 with same resaults - haven't tried beta bios yet

my ram specs are these

DSC_0011.jpg

i think ram isn't compatible with the board - anyone have compatibility issues with same ram ?

thanks in advance

Paul

I would like to know what some of you guys are running as far as ram. I only found that asrock recommends one model number for corsair ram in 1600mhz. CML16GX3M4A1600C9 amazon link

Im not really looking to use 16gb but will if this board wont support 8gb
