thx

Why use formula drive? Use the bios for your overclock and cpu-z/speccy to monitor voltages and temps. There are a lot of other programs out there for this. If that's not enough install some voltmeter lcd displays on the voltage pins(Vprobe) or use multimeter. Does OS freeze which leads to a reset? You might want to double check the voltages for dips if its not just the program. I've always had problems with board manufactures overclocking/monitor software.

I set the multiplier at 45 but CPU-z reads 4.2 (bios reads 4.5ghz targeted)
I do have the i5 3570k

also sometimes my keyboard doesn't seem to work in bios (sometimes it does). Keyboard is powered on and lit.
(had to press delete to enter bios first of all so nothing wrong with my keyboard)

I have a feeling it has something to do with the bios.

I updated over network in bios a few days after I got the mobo. Running latest bios.

Any idea?

do u disabled the turbo boost ?

if not ... please use the bios jumper which is located near by the rom .

shut down ur pc then change from 12 to 23 . power up then reflash ur bios . following the instruction on the screeen

My PSU provides 2 CPU outputs. 1 is a straight 8-pin and the other is a pair of 4-pins. It dawns on me that I could connect both of the 8-pin AND the 4-pin to the OC Formula and the PSU. Is the OC Formula designed for this? Or, should I choose either the 4-pin or the 8-pin but not both?

Thanks in advance.

u can connector 8pin only , it is fine even 4pin only is fine .

connecting both is better for LN2 benching

use F11 then choose booting from UEFI OS install .

some bad 3770k never do 5G on air . even 1.5 volt .. if u put 1.45 volt , and still no go . It means that u have to give up thumb.gif

Do I have to raise some voltage?

thx redface.gif

normally , 2400 , u just have to load XMP and go

If no go . It might be worse CPU IMC inside .

e.g winrar / 3d mark 11 specially the cpu realted benchmarks .

i have an asrock oc formula with the latest bios .

do i have to increase some other voltage options .

1.525 is already too high for air cooling .... if u want to get stable with 6g

U need lower than 1.4volt CPU . or ur temp will be over TDP during loading test

Not sure if this helps or not about the Formula Drive issue. But here is the error in my event viewer.

People having keyboard issues in the bios such as not working is normal. The bios doesn't have every single driver loaded into the UEFI bios for your keyboard. The bios uses generic multimedia HID keyboard drivers. I have ran into this issue with a ton of intel desktop boards. Only certain keyboards will work, some will not so use a ps2 keyboard if all fails.

I've seen multiple bad IMC's on the ivy bridge processor. Can't say I've seen a bad IMC on a sandy. Usually the DIMM will not function what so ever if the IMC is bad. In this case his memory pasts post. I would test memory first. Is he using a sandy bride processor since the IMC isn't designed to run at those high speeds?

Set the sata mode selection to raid. F10 to save and reboot. Press Ctrl+I. Then, the Intel raid utility will appear. Setup your raid volumes for the two hdd. You can always setup a software raid in the OS through disk management. If you don't know how to setup raid through the intel raid utility just download the manual on asrocks website. May I ask why you are using raid 0 for two old HDD? I would recommend raid 1 for storage drives.
