In regard to the above, with my BIOS (ver 2.30) cleared using the CLEAR CMOS button on the back plate, I am having an issue where the board says that the CPU at default settings has a max turbo frequency of 3500MHz.
In Windows, the processor idles at 1600, and ramps up to 3500 under load. It will not reach the 3900MHz turbo frequency that it is supposed to.
Also, when I do get the CPU overclocked, anything over 4.4GHz is stable enough for normal work (with the occasional BSOD), but IBT and Prime repeatedly throw errorsand stop working. That is to say, the system is extremely unstable under stress.
