Something big has been brewing at HTC, most often referred to as the DLX or by its less-than-flattering 6435LVW name. While there have been unconfirmed photos of prototypes floating around, a Sina Weibo user has posted what we have reason to believe is an authentic press image of the finished result: meet the One X 5.

Look's good, now the only thing needed to do is to lower the screen size to around 4.5inches and same bezel and it'll be the perfect phone for me

Gotta love the screen on the One series. Looks a thousand times better than the S3's screen.

Would much prefer on screen buttons, those appear to be capactive but nevertheless that looks great. I'll be all over this if sales are good, not risking an Android phone with poor dev support again.

I love my Note, and wouldn't trade it for anything. Whenever I handle my wife's One X though, the fit and finish makes my Note feel like a toy. This is the last thing that I needed to be tempted by.

So it looks like the iPhone 5 is soon to find itself a whole inch of screen real estate behind a soon to be industry standard amongst smart phone heavy hitters.

If combined with suitable CPU/GPU upgrades, could deal quite the blow to the iPhones "consoles quality gaming" appeal.
