It will work just fine, alot of people use the A8N, its not as good as say a DFI mobo, but it will do you good. The a8n is very stable and isn't a horrible overclocker, you can usually get to around 2.65-2.7 Ghz range with a 3800. What kind of RAM do you have?

I think pretty much the only thing that needs to be changed around is the RAM and maybe the soundcard, everything else looks pretty good.

Alot of people advised me to get this board for OC'ing, especially if you are a beginner. When i asked about it - it was out of this and the DFI so it definately cant be a bad OC'er

EDIT: the sound card isnt really necessary atm though, however the RAM maybe

an a8n sli is very good for ocing, almost as good as a DFI. A DFI board isnt really that much better. I've got a small overclock on my 3800+ atm on my a8n-sli and its already up to 2.6Ghz no problems

A DFI board has more advanced options though, which is why this asus board is best to start overclocking with
