Just installed this res and had a question regarding setup. I am using 1 pump(left side) and I have removed the plug under the bottom plate to combine both reservoirs into 1. Question is would P1 in/P1 out be the best/least constrictive route, or should I install the 180 degree connector and use P1 in/P2 out? I kind of assumed since I am only using 1 pump to only use P1 in/P1 out, but wasn't sure as I combined the reservoirs. Thanks

All in all great cooler for the money and has always worked reliably. Excellent for a backup cooling system or for low-cost budget computers, while still being able to overclock.

As long as you have the plugs so that you can plug up p2 in/out you can just use p1 in/out. The 180 degree connector is good for people with 2 pumps that want to run them in serial. You could use the 180 connector if you wanted to but it adds a little restriction to your loop.

i ran one of those awhile ago.. i believe it really not an option to use both sides of res on a single
pump, you have to connect them together with the 180° union. P1 out to P2 in. P2 out to first
connection and P1 in from last connection.
if you use just P1 out to first connection and P1 in to last connection, only left side of res is
being used. mine was one of the v1 kits.. possible change in v2.

I have an older version of this res but the new ones function similarly. Check out the manual. You will need to plug the inlet and outlet on the side of pump 2 but you can connect the two reservoirs. Water won't really flow through the other half but they will technically be connected and serving as one large reservoir.

I have owned both versions ... rev 2 is the better one. I'm using it with 1 pump.
just use the P1 connections exactly as it says in the manual. ... Its fine to use both reservoirs with one pump, that's what I'm doing. Using P1 in P2 out with only one pump would make it very hard to bleed properly.
a tip with rev 2 is to make sure you tip the case straight back about 45 degrees after filling and a couple times while bleeding to help get air out.
edit: also make sure you have both top plugs open while filling and bleeding if you use both res or a vacuum will form in the plugged side.
They are a great device. The solid mass of them damps out pump vibration very effectively.
