Currently using Steelseries 4HD, the mousepad is fine because it's still relatively new but i'm looking for suggestion on better mousepad for the near future, so with that said I will be using Furuya format since it's pretty much answer most of the questions

Hard or cloth?
Cloth pad i suppose, since i'm thinking of a mousepad that have (little)fiction

Rough or smooth?
Smooth

Which size approximately?
Small-Median (small-mid Sen player here)*

What's your maximum budget?
Doesn't matter, but i doubt cloth pads are that expensive o.O

edit: i meant to say mid-high pretty much got it confused >_>

ARTISAN Hayate is probably the most expensive cloth pad ever biggrin.gif

Artisan Hayate is perfect for the Spawn, I wouldn't be surprised if it is the best mouse pad on the market to combine with the Spawn.

mmm... did you use the mouse pad yourself once before? Because I've heard the QCK series fit pretty well with this mouse? though i'm not really sure so I'm pretty much here asking for some suggestion (that and I've apologize for the spam, server error when i pressed 'submit' for i clicked 3 more times >_<)

Qck mass or qck should do the job for 10 to 15 bucks. Unless you want to spend the 50 for the artisan. I for one will not spend that much on something that is personal preference. But that's likely because I just switched from a 50 dollar mega soma to a qck mass t that I spent 9 dollars on. Like the mass much more.

I been using the Spawn and Artisan Hayate combo for about a year now. Unfortunately I have never used a QCK so I can't compare. Although I heard its much slower, and I quite like the speed of the Hayate.

If money isn't an issue, get the Artisan Hayate.

lol after the new firmware the spawn is not really all that picky about surfaces, Im using mine on a TT white ra mouse pad which is a really nice pad, it has a more slick glide to it compared to the qck or the goliathus speed, also the rubber material underneath feels of higher quality albeit very thin.

I found the lod makes the new firmware unusable for serious gaming. To me fw 32 is the best combined with the hayate.

I don't know which firmware is 'new' though, there is v32 that is on the official website, but there is v61 that is uploaded somewhere on this website, so i am not so sure which 'new' firmware we are talking about though
