Hi all ,
my father has a club , and we are fidling about the TV-setup.
There are 3 parts of this club.
The restaurant (2 samsung 46" plasma)
The dancefloor (1 pioneer 50" plasma)
The entrance (1 samsung 46" plasma)
All of them are controlled via HDMI extenders over a single CAT5 cable to a stack of cheap-pc's with HDMI.
Again , all these pc's are connected to one 42 inch tv as "primary monitor".
Now , the current HDMI extenders are continuesly failing.
After 2 weeks of 24/7 running they start to fail.
After replacing , thesame happens over and over again.
Failing to show anything on these screens.
Now , i need to find a solution for 2 problems.
The 3 PC's that are running these screens are starting to show problems and are giving me headaches
Solution1 :
Combining the 3 PC's to 1.
Is there any way that i can make 1 PC to work on 3 screens , and them showing 3 different things?
2 of them show a powerpoint presentation and one (dancefloor) shows movie's.
It aint that easy , i know .
I need a PC with 4 HDMI exits (or Dual link with converter to HDMI) (3 for the screens in the club , and 1 as primary).
I would really like some sort of central "hub" to control these 3 screens.
The "the extend desktop" feature of windows is difficult , as i need to load a new powerpoint presentation to those portions on the desktop wich i cannot see.
Solution 2.
Take mini-laptops with a HDMI exit and manually load the powerpoint presentation and stik these small laptops somewhere you can't see them.
But , this also doesn't work for the one screen on the dancefloor , as this has to run downloaded (legit) content movies.
I'm totally baffled by this as this has to be done as cheap as possible , in the shortest amount of time.
The setup wich is running now (3PC's who split to the screens in the club , and split to the 1 screen where i can control it all).
And by controlling i mean switching channels (HDMI1-HDMI2-HDMI3) .
And sometimes this setup is switching the screen numbers , so the home screen will sometimes be in the club , and not on my "control" screen.
I hope you guy's can be of some assistance to me and my dad.
