Okay, so I just started GPU folding. Is it normal for the card to be stable at a higher clock than while gaming?

I found that on my AMD GPU, I could fold @ 930 on the core, but with the same voltage gaming wasn't stable @ 900mhz. On my NV GPU it seems to be the opposite though.

The shaders setting is what helps NIVIDA gpu's get more ppd.If you get a WU that fails and has a somewhat cryptic message with the term EUE.This means a overclock issue (drop the overclock). You will find not all WU's stress the gpu the same.

Thanks guys. I was curious because I can fold at 1000MHz+ but it gets too hot when gaming if it's much over 980.

Hmm at 20K PPD I'm looking at about 40 days. I love soaring through the ranks lol. I think that's about to stop though.

I like it when the only reason I check ppd is to see all is working well.Waiting on every points update is not fun for me.

Years ago it would take three to four weeks to complete a WU on an overclocked processor. That was a screaming machine!
