Dang I wish there was a video tongue.gif
So would you recommend me using it or just use my 3570k?

Another thing: I am waiting to get my video card until the 8000 series comes out...I know it's quite a ways but thats when I decided would be best. Do I need a graphics card to fold? Will my HD 4000 graphics be enough? tongue.gif How much will it hurt my folding performance?

You can fold with your cpu but not the hd4000

GPU2 doesn't support integrated graphics IIRC It would also impact the folding on cpu.

You would probably be put into a cpu category because your AMD card isn't optimized for f@h.

Rules prohibit folding in two categories on a permanent basis.

TC is a great way to get involved in folding! Currently there are numerous openings on teams that we would love to fill with anyone willing to fold a minimum 20/7.

Oh, I took it as a 4xxx card, not the on CPU die graphics.

Didn't know that about TC. Just see some people have 2 spots, month to month. Anyway, theres plenty of spots for the CPU.

That's an interesting CPU, I don't think I've ever heard one that one.  Are you folding on both your CPU, and GPU?  AMD GPUs usually take a bit of CPU power, so many times AMD GPU folders will leave a core open for that.

Easiest way would be to use a Kill-A-Watt, or a UPS (Depending on the model, but most will show the watts used).  I've used hd3000 in the past folding on my 2600k, it's not an issue, but you can't fold on them ;) (the iGPU).

[edit] Ooops, forgot to post my reply, then a bunch more people replied, doh!

Have you registered with Stanford? If not, here's a link -> http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/getpasskey.py

Then follow the steps on the "Easy (V7)" section

That should get you up and running thumb.gif

In FAHControl Click Configure ->Advanced tab (may need to change to Advanced or Expert View on the right of the main screen) and there is a dropdown to the science you would like to contribute to. Cancer is one of them.
