Ivy Ram Voltage

Thread Starter
a friend told me that using 1.65v ram on a newer 1155 setup can kill the cpu

has anyone heard of any instances of that?

intel says this
http://communities.intel.com/thread/30798

but its at the 10% over range from 1.5v

sb is fine for 1.65v, why would ib be any different

links or pics of physical dmg would be a plus

thanks

1.65v for daily use is perfectly fine.

I've heard of guys using 1.75v for 24/7 as well with no problems at all.

Make sure VCCIO is within. 5v on DRAM voltage. Ive heard of quite a few people running over 1.65 for 24/7.
