Hey display pro's, I need some guidance with a monitor...

Thread Starter
I recently noticed that my e-machines e202h monitor stopped coming on. It's nice, not very old, and has 720 p hd. Native is 1600 by 900 I think. It powers on fine, shows "e-machines" and if no cable is connected, says "connect cable" or whatever it should. The problem is, it comes on showing my desktop for about a second or two then goes off. I can't see the menu, or it's not working either. For the second that my background shows up, it looks normal. Any I deas ? It'd get me out of the doghouse as it's my old lady's and she loves it. Thanks!!

Hmm, so if you have nothing connected, how long will it display "connect cable", does it only last as long as when something is connected?

I would think the power supply has given up and is going into a sort of protection mode by shutting itself down, all depends on your answer to the above question.

Also, did you try this monitor on other computers at all?
