NVIDIA drivers can't be removed through Control Panel?

Thread Starter
So, as the title suggests, I'm trying to remove my NVIDIA drivers through CP, but every time I right-click and select 'Uninstall' Windows Explorer would stop working, making it impossible to remove it.

Are there any other ways to remove it?

I always just use youruninstaller and it works for me. I also go into options and turn off registry backup also. You can uninstall up to 3 times then restart the app. Thanks

I use an older version of the Guru 3D driver sweeper. One page says that it's been discontinued; but this page http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/guru3d_driver_sweeper_%28no_installer%29.html has a download link. I don't know what (no installer) means, I guess it's just an .exe file to run instead of an .msi install package.

You might run this driver sweeper after booting in safe mode for the best results.

Be warned, completely wiping display driver files may ruin a Windows installation (it has happened to me). So set a system restore point before you attempt removing the drivers.
