Odd. I'm pulling 27914.1 PPD on a P8049 job right now. I'll have to look to see what I get for the P7647 job.
Oh, one other thing I forgot, which is most likely the biggest difference. My i7-2700k is running under a "headless" (ie no GUI) distro of Linux. When I boot up into Windows 7 (which I'll use for testing the overclocking and when I set the system up for initial setup), my PPD was more horrible ... like in the 12-17k range. Moving to a Linux distro makes all the difference in the world.
Heck, even running a Linux distro via Oracle VM VirtualBox while running Windows 7 will up you PPD a fair amount. My i5-2500k running at 4.4GHz (air) is pulling 17k under the VirtualBox on the P7165 job right now. When I switched from Windows 7 folding to just the VirtualBox folding, it picked up about 4-7k PPD.
