The PlayStation 3 is just a little addicted to plastic surgery, as Sony just announced at Tokyo Game Show the second major revision of the console. The latest model is available in two flavors: 500GB and 250GB models in "Charcoal Black" and a 250GB system in "Classic White." The black model launches on October 4, while the white model hits on November 22.

If it fits into the price structure of existing models without adding to the cost, I guess this is good for anyone looking to buy a new PS3 anytime soon...

I would jump on this, if the PS3 had more games that didn't have a tenancy to bring the system to a frozen standstill frown.gif I wish the Wii had more revisions tongue.gif

I got a PS3 after I got my desktop (didn't bring desktop to college), and it was freaking horrible. It's shiny though, and people will get one because of that. I know a few people who got the fat PS3 because it was shiner than the slim PS3.

I personally mourned the death of my fat 60GB model. Haven't tried reviving it at all, maybe I will take on that venture. I already sold off all my old PS3 games though :/

I hope PS3's get a fair price drop in all tbh (I dont understand how consoles and $ works over there)

If im honest the base pack (Console and controller) would pretty much NEED to be £150 for the 250GB model, It dont even seem much of a deal too considering you can get a 320GB slim for £180 new from a proper retailer

I dont see why i would like to switch to this unit, Not to mention its got a flaw for possibly most people who use it under there TV's

The fact you would most likely need to drag out the PS3 to insert a disc is rather crazy

PS4 should be out in 2 years i guess, I cant see it coming next year as some good major titles are in the works and sony really dont want to overshadow them, Also my guess is GT6 will be out 1 year after PS4's release, Possibly 2 and if 2 may be launched with a trimmed down PS4
Any later than that and its going to be as disappointing as GT5's release was, Not to mention Kaz himself said GT6 wont take as long to make.

Another one? You gotta love how Sony still won't back down from the PS3. It was a good joke, lets just keep on going forward.
