I live in Pittsburgh and honestly I think Comcast is f'ing around in our city with data caps of somesorts. Lately I have been getting DAILY issues with my internet, everything from dropouts, disconnections, total internet loss, you name it, they've done it. It's definitely NOT something on my end, my internet just keeps acting up. Today my ping was over 800 in Crysis 3, I had to disconnect the modem for 10 minutes.

I'm on a secure network with encrypted passwords so I don't know what's really doing it, but I blame Comcast. It started doing it in January of this year. If this crap keeps up I'm switching ISP's. Especially after hearing this news on "data caps". Because paying $80+ a month just for internet isn't enough!!!!!!!! mad.gif

I also have friends that work in the TWC Charlotte plant that are more than enough credible source and they have sworn to me that there are no data cap plans whatsoever for North Carolina. The only problem NC is facing is expanding upload bandwidth. Upload speeds here in NC are absolute garbage and its going to stay the same for a few years at the least.

i have brighthouse, which uses TWC, and also have no cap i'm aware of. not sure i would have one even if TWC started using one themselves.

he's right us Aussies get crap speeds, my cousin gets like 1-2mb a second if that its I've seen at my gf old house 20mb/s but she lived in a old street but you Americans get it good.

They're not too bad, I've heard a lot of people hate on them and their support is utter crap (Literally about as bad as Telstra's) but my internet has been fine short of a few dropouts a week that go away within 5 minutes or so, but I got those on TPG too. (Not Internode or Telstra for some reason)
