Newbie to overclocking

Thread Starter
I want to know the ways to change my computer to use its resources to its max potential.
Currently running:

Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 975 Processor 3.60 GHz
RAM: 2x8 Corsair Vengeance 16gigs of RAM
System: 64-bit Operating System Windows 7 Ultimate
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti

I feel like when I run Xsplit and Tera Online, it gets really laggy and my screen gets choppy when i livestream on www.twitch.tv
Same with certain programs such as Counter Strike: Global Offensive and Borderlands 2

If they is ways to maximize its performance on my computer parts, please help me out

Thank You

Gonna need a little more to go by here; what PSU and motherboard do you have?

Are you on stock cooling?

NEED HELP. Im a noob (amd 7850). Im using asus gpu tweak and I have set power settings to +20% in overdrive. However when i use gpu tweak, the stock core clock speed of 860mhz is almost at the maximum end of the slider. Is this because of my power supply? Or do i need to update my driver?
