Keyboard Decisions--Red Switches

Thread Starter
So I've got three keyboards I'm looking at--after trying a bunch of friends' keyboards, I've decided I like the MX Red switches best.

Corsair Vengeance K90
+macro keys
+nice wrist rest
+backlit
+cheapest (on sale at Newegg through tomorrow)
-not all mechanical
-no PS2

WASD
+can get dampeners pre-installed
+fully mechanical
-no macro keys
-wrist rest doesn't seem to be very good
-not backlit
-most expensive

Ducky Shine II
+backlit
+fully mechanical
-no macro keys
-no wrist rest at all

The macro keys and the backlighting would be very nice, but aren't must-haves--most of my macros are already bound to my mouse. Dampeners, however, are probably going to be a must, though I'm perfectly fine with installing them myself. My major concern is the lack of the PS/2 port on the K90--I'll definitely have at least two other things connected via USB (mouse and wireless adapter), and sometimes four (the external HDs, if I'm doing work stuff). How much is that going to affect performance?

Red Switch Triggers will be available on Newegg & Amazon just for your reference.
You can look at the Coolermaster Trigger Storm in red switches.
+ Backlit
+ All mechanical keys
+ Palm rest
+ Macros keys
- Only 6 key roller but i found it more than enough. Doubt you need more than 3-4 during gaming.

Neither Amazon nor Newegg is listing red-switch Triggers. Maybe I'm missing something?

*checks again*

...nope. Any word of availability on those? They seem to be limited to Asia/Pacific distribution area... Also, USB-only. Blargh! Where are the PS/2 keyboards with macro keys?

Trigger is a good board if you can find the switch you want.

Another board with macro and is fully mechanical and backlit is Gigabyte Aivia Osmium. Comments here about it is not so good, but it is highly regarded among the users around me (they like to take things apart and mod basic stuff like LED).

Im not a big fan of the corsair boards I think they are a bit over priced for the fact that they are not fully mechanical. I haven't used them so can't give them a proper judgement though, btw does it have to be reds whats wrong with the blacks I think they help you to burn more calories with more force requires XD.

That aside I would go for a smaller board such as the quickfire rapid simply because I like keeping the mouse closer to me and those boards are highly regarded all over the net, the trigger as well.
Boards from WASD are also highly regarded as well but they are also a bit steep in price. Though if you do order from them make sure to get some customized keycaps, I think they look awesome.

If a wrist rest is important to you, keep in mind that it's not a difficult item to buy on its own. In fact, in my opinion, the best wrist rests-- ones that are made of real leather as opposed to merely a leather coating, or out of wood-- are bought separately. Personally, I use, and am fond of, the "3-star" leather wrist rest from EliteKeyboards.

It's tricky to find a PS/2, macro-keyed, backlit board. There are lots of backlit boards with macro keys, plenty of PS/2 boards with backlight, and at least one board with PS/2 and macros (SkyDigital Mechanic 2-- though you may have to source it from Korea, since I've only seen Mechanic 1s available on US eBay, and those haven't got the macro keys)-- but I'm not sure of any with all three.
