So I've got three keyboards I'm looking at--after trying a bunch of friends' keyboards, I've decided I like the MX Red switches best.
Corsair Vengeance K90
+macro keys
+nice wrist rest
+backlit
+cheapest (on sale at Newegg through tomorrow)
-not all mechanical
-no PS2
WASD
+can get dampeners pre-installed
+fully mechanical
-no macro keys
-wrist rest doesn't seem to be very good
-not backlit
-most expensive
Ducky Shine II
+backlit
+fully mechanical
-no macro keys
-no wrist rest at all
The macro keys and the backlighting would be very nice, but aren't must-haves--most of my macros are already bound to my mouse. Dampeners, however, are probably going to be a must, though I'm perfectly fine with installing them myself. My major concern is the lack of the PS/2 port on the K90--I'll definitely have at least two other things connected via USB (mouse and wireless adapter), and sometimes four (the external HDs, if I'm doing work stuff). How much is that going to affect performance?
