Yes, see top of previous page for successful test at partial load. On advice in another thread however, I learned that adding the sense wire can prevent some few % of Vdroop at higher loads. Since I'm planning to use this PSU for a more powerful build in the future, I decided to do the sense wire after all.

Sense wire on pin 20 is the one that comes out of the heatshrink and goes around over the top smile.gif

looks great WiSK... no easy feat.

I've since improved mine but here's what it looked like the first time I shortened & sleeved my 24-pin.

good thing I'm going for the organic look hairysmiley.png .

Sorry I got no other pictures of mine... already finished the build and not keen on pulling it apart.

I don't think the ST45SF-G is any different to the other Strider PSUs, they all have wires crossed over. If they didn't they all wouldn't be suitable with the PP05 kit. One thing I did notice though, is that the SATA cable followed straight through except the last connector, the 2 black wires were crossed over.

I believe so, otherwise the PP05 kit wouldn't work.

I dont think so.. Lutroo said before that silverstone psu are easy to sleeve, not like seasonic & corsair (double wires)

Just to clarify for those who don't read the OP. This thread is particularly highlighting an issue when shortening and sleeving the ATX 24 connector when mounting the ST45SF-G such that the PSU hangs fan down over the motherboard such as in Silverstone's own cases SG05, SG06 and FT03-mini.

Yes, Silverstone Strider series PSUs are generally easy to sleeve.

Yes, older models have only a single double-wire. Newer gold evolution models have zero double-wires.

However, yes, all models since 2009 are compatible with PP05 cable set which means the modular connector is not mirrored when it should be, which means you cannot make an ATX 24 for this which looks like the extensions that Lutro0 makes.

sorry if this is a stupid question, but if the fan is up then there is no problem with the cables right? I am designing a custom case and want this psu

If you are designing your own case, then you have more choice how you orient the PSU to achieve neater sleeving. Either fan up, or move the PSU away from the motherboard. Feel free to post your case design in here for advice, or PM me if you'd like some discretion.
