I'm looking for a gaming mouse and keyboard for my rather large Norwegian hands. Today I tried my friends' Razer naga MMO mouse and Lycosa keyboard out when I was helping him set up Borderlands 2 and it felt amazing in my hand.
I usually buy the $10 mouse and keyboards at Walmart but that experience made me change my mind about the importance of a quality mouse and keyboard. The naga fit my hand quite well, excluding the macro buttons and the side for your ring finger/pinky could have been a little bigger. I have no use for 12 macro buttons as I don't play MMOs. They could be useful for The Elder Scrolls but I can barely touch them because my thumb is too big and the buttons are far too small. As for the keyboard, the buttons were silky smooth and it felt great on my hands compared to this $9 Logitech I am using.
I mostly play FPS games so a couple extra macros would be a plus for adding a couple quick swap weapons or a key for ventrillo.
My Steam Library for reference so you get an idea of the games I play. I am also into Battlefield series and the older Elder Scrolls. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I was looking at the Razer Deathadder as it seems to be somewhat basic and a coule extra macro buttons. Not sure how it would fit my hand as I havent seen one in person. I am very open to other suggestions too. I don't really care about the "cool" factor with all the lights and glowing logo.
As for the keyboard I will probably get the Lycosa as I really liked the back lighting and basic key layout without all the curved keys that newer keyboards seem to have. The touch screen volume/video and backlight control to WASD is also a nice touch. Also completely open to other suggestions.
